Cold Catsup
1/2 pk tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup white mustard seed
2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon cloves
1 cup sugar
1 pt vinegar

I have made a recipe similar to this, and often. :)
Just cut up those tomatoes (seed & peel them first), then boil down with the onions & spices. Put them in jars & seal.
It's actually really good with fish.
I hope nobody thinks to put it on the Ice Cream Puffs printed just above this hand-written recipe! Although maybe that just shows my anti-catsup bias, not an inherent food mispairing...
the 1/2 pk probably means 1./2 a peck, r the amount of tomatoes to fill a bag similar t this one:
